Shimmi Munson is a freight broker, logistics problem-solver and professional problem preventer with more than 16 years of experience in transportation. Specializing in LTL and full truckload freight, she has built her career around strong relationships, honest communication and doing what is right—even when it is not the easiest option. She treats her carriers, customers and industry peers like friends and family and advocates relentlessly for the people who trust her.

A twin raised in a small town in Southern Oregon, Shimmi lost her mom when she was 11. That loss shaped her independence, compassion and determination, teaching her early that life rarely follows the path you expect.

Her career certainly did not. Shimmi landed in logistics completely by accident, fell in love with the industry and has been fortunate enough not to fall out of love with it yet. She is drawn to its people, its unpredictability and the opportunity to solve meaningful problems every day.

Above all, Shimmi is a mom. Her daughter is the driving force behind her commitment to work hard, work well and keep going through whatever life puts in front of her. She hopes to show her that success is not about avoiding obstacles—it is about believing you can overcome them.

Kevin Bullock has spent the past 15 years in the logistics and transportation industry, beginning his career as an oilfield hotshot driver and growing into a specialized heavy-haul and out-of-gauge carrier. With a focus on oversized and overweight shipments, Kevin believes that successful transportation is built on more than equipment and expertise—it is built on relationships. He works closely with customers and brokers who value honesty, integrity, and open communication as the foundation of every partnership.

Born and raised in a small North Texas town, Kevin developed a strong work ethic through farm and ranch life, where the day was finished only when the work was done—not simply when the sun went down. That mindset continues to shape the way he approaches both business and service.

Kevin entered the trucking industry almost by accident when a friend mentioned hauling tools to drilling rigs with a one-ton truck and gooseneck trailer. Having held a CDL since the age of 18, he decided to give it a try, and what began as an unexpected opportunity became a lifelong career. Over the years, he has gained hands-on experience across nearly every aspect of the carrier side of trucking, including sales, dispatch, operations, and safety, giving him a well-rounded understanding of the industry from the ground up.

When he is not on the road or working with customers, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family in North Texas, and his children often accompany him on jobs whenever possible. He also serves as a volunteer firefighter in his hometown and enjoys playing music whenever time and work schedules allow.

John Cantera is a leading supply chain security specialist, fraud prevention consultant, and industry advocate with nearly three decades of operational experience spanning military logistics, commercial freight, and supply chain management.

John’s career is defined by a deep commitment to operational integrity and security across every corner of the domestic supply chain:

A graduate of the University of Delaware with a BA in Economics, John was commissioned as a U.S. Air Force officer specializing in Logistics Readiness. Over a 10-year career spanning six duty stations, he commanded logistics units and served as an instructor training U.S. and foreign officers in logistics command and control operations.

After earning his MBA, John held key leadership roles in retail distribution, manufacturing logistics, port operations, 3PLs, and trucking in Savannah, Georgia. He later founded his own final-mile distribution fleet and an independent dispatch service.

Recognizing the escalating threat of freight fraud, John founded the Double Broker Bounty Hunter program in 2021 to combat illicit actors. He co-founded the Freight Fraud Task Force in 2025 and hosts the Tic Toc Diner Podcast, providing critical education to protect logistics professionals.

Today, John serves as a fraud, safety, and compliance specialist for Kiss This Media, bringing his comprehensive view of supply chain vulnerabilities to the team.
