Your Voice isn't about polished talking points or rehearsed answers. No sponsored content here. It's a place for honest conversations about the issues affecting the people who keep transportation moving.

Each week, host Michelle Hutchinson sits down with a new voice from across the industry — drivers, business owners, leaders, advocates, professionals and gives them space to share their story.

Sometimes the best perspective comes from the people who were actually in the room.

Meet your host Michelle Hutchinson

Hi!

I’ve spent nearly two decades in automotive logistics learning this industry from every angle.  From dispatch desks and day-to-day operations to strategic accounts, executive conversations, and the moments when everything goes sideways and someone has to figure out what happens next.

I became that someone.

My career has been built on solving problems other people avoid. I’ve untangled complex transportation challenges, built and rebuilt processes, managed high-stakes customer relationships, led teams, navigated carrier and capacity issues, tackled fraud and risk, and helped bring clarity to an industry where chaos is too often accepted as the cost of doing business.

I don’t accept that it has to be.

After years of being the person brought in to fix what wasn’t working, I made an intentional decision: I wanted to do more than solve problems inside the industry. I wanted to help change the way business gets done.

Today, I’m the Founder and CEO of Leveling Up Logistics & Consulting and Director of Strategic Accounts at SYCN Auto Logistics. Different roles, same mission: raise the standard.

Because great logistics is about far more than getting a vehicle from Point A to Point B.

It’s about ownership. Communication. Accountability.

It’s knowing the business well enough to anticipate a problem before your customer ever has to experience it. It’s doing what you said you would do. And when something inevitably goes wrong, it’s about showing up, owning it, and finding the solution.

That mindset has made me a builder, a fixer, and, when necessary, a challenger of the way things have always been done.

I’ve seen the best of this industry, and I’ve seen the parts that desperately need to change. I’ve chosen not to become comfortable with either.

Instead, I’m focused on helping shape what comes next. Through better operations, stronger partnerships, smarter fraud prevention, honest conversations about pricing and expectations, and a relentless commitment to service.

I set a high bar for myself and for the people and companies I choose to work alongside. I value people who communicate, take ownership, solve problems, and show up when it matters.

Because when things get difficult, titles don’t move freight, people do.

I’m proud of the career I’ve built. But at this point in my life, I’m far more interested in what I’m building next.

I’m not here simply to participate in automotive logistics. I’m here to level it up.
